Girls in grades three through five are encouraged to sign up for an introductory volleyball program being offered by the Parkview Huntington Family YMCA.

The seven-week course offers instruction in the basic fundamentals of the game. In addition, girls will be taught competitive drills and individual workouts.

Practice will be held on Tuesdays from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., starting Sept. 11 through Oct. 23.

The course instructor will be Cyndi Niswander.

There is a cost per player, with a discount for YMCA members. Those who recruit a new player to the program will receive a discount redeemable at the front desk.
