
Allyson Trout's overall efforts weren't enough for the Huntington North High School varsity volleyball team as it lost to host Columbia City, 1-3, on Thursday, Sept. 6.
Trout, a senior, had 18 assists, 11 kills, 17 digs and five blocks but the Lady Vikings lost 19-25, 27-29, 25-17, 20-25 to fall to 5-7 on the season.
Fellow senior Alexis Wygant led the Lady Vikings with 16 kills, and she added 20 digs and three blocks, while junior Jessie Drew had a team-high 11 blocks and added nine kills and 17 digs.
Mikayla Carpenter had a team-high 29 digs to lead the defensive efforts, which also saw Emiley Gray and Candie Armstrong with 14 digs apiece.
Alexa Hill had 17 assists.
