Community and Family Services is now making appointments for residents who want to apply for help in paying their heating bills.
To make an appointment or for more information, call the local Community and Family Services office at 356-1098.
The Energy Assistance Program begins Nov. 5.
Households meeting income eligibility requirements can receive a one-time credit on heat and electric bills.
A three-person household can have an income of no more than $28,635 in order to be eligible. Each additional member of the household increases the eligibility limit by $5,940.
The program will continue through May 17 or until funds are depleted.
