Mary Hasty (left), a member of the Roanoke Knit Chicks, presents a quilt made by the group to Linda Hinen (right). The Knit Chicks, who meet weekly to knit items for charity, raffled the quilt to raise funds to purchase yarn. The Knit Chucks meet each Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the basement of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Roanoke. Anyone interested in becoming involved in the projects is invited to attend.
