Marvin D. Gephart, 70, of Van Buren, IN, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Heritage Pointe, in Warren, IN.
Mr. Gephart graduated from Van Buren High School in 1960. He had worked at the appliance factory, in Van Buren; Corning Glass, in Bluffton; Weaver Popcorn, in Van Buren; and part time as a janitor at iAB Financial Bank in Van Buren.
He was a former member of the Bluffton Bowling League and a member of Central Christian Church, in Van Buren. He volunteered at Gilead Ministries, in Marion.
He was born June 14, 1942, in Van Buren to Homer and Anna Margaret Losure Gephart. He married Linda L. Schwob on June 23, 1963, at the Central Christian Church, Van Buren. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Suzette Gephart, of Warren; a son, Richard Gephart, of Van Buren; and four brothers, Jerry (Norma) Gephart, of Muncie; Larry (Betty) Gephart and Dennis (Dorothy) Gephart, both of Warren; and Ronnie Gephart, of Indianapolis.
Calling is Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Central Christian Church, 201 S. First St., Van Buren. A service will be held at the church on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Heath Jones officiating. Interment will be at the Van Buren Cemetery, Van Buren.
Preferred memorials are gifts to Gilead Ministries or Medical Oncology & Progressive Cancer Center.
