Huntington University students Jake Essig and Isaac Beal will join two friends to dribble soccer balls 250 miles this spring to raise money for the homeless in Toledo, OH.
Essig, of Monroe, OH, and Beal, of Greenfield, will join friends Derek Garde and Nick Streibick, both of Monroe, OH, to make the trip from Monroe, OH - a suburb of Cincinnati - to Toledo.
They plan to begin the trip on May 20 and cover 15 miles a day, completing the journey by June 15.
The quartet's goal is to raise $10,000 for LifeLine Toledo, which provides a mobile medical unit, meals and fellowship for the homeless, along with planting house churches.
Essig, an HU junior, and Beal, a senior soccer player at HU, have known Garde and Streibick since they were young.
All four are seeking donations, which can be sent to LifeLine Toledo, PO Box 20097, Toledo, OH 43610. Checks should be designated for "Dribble 4 Toledo."
