Brian K. Kinsey, 51, of Indianapolis, IN, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at his home.
Mr. Kinsey, a 1979 graduate of Norwell High School, had been employed as a postal worker for many years.
He was the first two-time winner of the Pascuzzi Award, presented by the National Softball Association to the outstanding umpire of the year. In early December, he was named to the Indiana National Softball Association Hall of Fame in the umpire category.
He was born June 22, 1961, in Fort Wayne to Max E. and Connie Breeden Kinsey. He married Rose Stephens on April 4, 2007, in Miami Beach, FL. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include a stepdaughter, Adrienne Stephens, of Indianapolis; a stepson, Bradley (Anna) Stephens, of Schererville; two brothers, Bruce Kinsey, of Plainfield, and Bradley (Sandy) Kinsey, of Fort Wayne; and two grandchildren.
Calling is Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at 11 a.m. A memorial service will be held in Indianapolis at a later date.
