The Huntington North High School boys' varsity bowling team, leaders of the Hoosier Conference, overcame second-ranked Bellmont, 12-8, at Decatur on Wednesday, Jan. 9.
The match was a Baker style position round, where five bowlers rotate every frame, combining their individual frame score into one team score. Two points are awarded per win.
The Vikings snatched just one win in their first four games, 196-182, as the Braves dominated in the early going, winning 198-137, 153-149 and 212-207.
Huntington North turned things around when it substituted the entire seven-man roster at different times over the course of the next five games, winning four, 259-188, 192-169, 237-215 and 224-185.
