A plan to bring Huntington County into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act is now available for public review.
The plan may be examined during business hours now through Jan. 28 in two offices of the Huntington County Courthouse, 201 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. Copies of the plan are available for review in both the Huntington County Commissioners' office, located on the first floor of the courthouse, and in the Huntington County Clerk's office, located on the second floor.
The plan is also available online, in a 147-page PDF format.

Visit www.huntington . in.us; pull down the "County" heading and select "HR Dept;" move the cursor to the right to select "ADA." Under the "More Information" header, select "unclassified" to bring up the document.
The plan was drawn up after county officials conducted an evaluation of all county-owned facilities and county programs. It is designed to bring the county into compliance with ADA requirements that all county services, programs and activities be readily accessible and useable by individuals with disabilities.
Comments on the plan may be submitted in writing to Erika Devine, human resources director and ADA coordinator, at the courthouse or emailed to Erika.Devine@hunting  ton.in.us. Written comments must be submitted no later than Jan. 25 at 4 p.m.
The Huntington County commissioners will hear comments on the plan during their regular meeting on Jan. 28 at 8 a.m.
Community members may provide suggestions, ask questions and make comments.
The commissioners plan to adopt the plan that morning.
