A balanced offensive effort carried the Crestview Middle School girls' seventh grade basketball team to a 26-22 win over host Southern Wells on Thursday, Jan. 17.

Hollyn Anderson paced the Cougars, 5-2, with eight points, while Karmen Koch added six and Sid Kyle paired six points with as many rebounds.

The eighth grade team came up a point shy in its game, 24-23.

Ariene Butler led Crestview, 3-4, with eight points. Mackenzi Cannici chipped in six points and Kylie Kaylor added five. Jennifer Bartels and Maddie Houser headed the team's rebounding efforts, each pulling down six.
