The Crestview Middle School girls' seventh grade basketball team spread the ball around on offense and defeated visiting Indian Springs, 35-20, on Thursday, Feb. 14.
Hollyn Anderson tossed in nine points and Karmen Koch and Rileigh Johnson each added eight for the Cougars, 12-4. Johnson led the team's rebounding effort with six, followed by Koch's three and Megan Gilpin's three, which she also paired with six points.
The eighth grade team fell 41-31.
Kylie Kaylor paced Crestview, 9-7, with eight points. Jennifer Bartels supplied seven points and as many rebounds to the team's cause, Aubrie Eckert contributed six points and Madison Houser and Ariene Butler each chipped in four points, with the latter also grabbing four steals.
