The dark comedy "Reckless" will open Feb. 28 on the Huntington University stage.
The play focuses on Rachel, a woman whose world is turned upside down when her husband reveals a shocking secret, sending her on a whimsical journey of identity crisis and self-discovery. Along the way, she meets a social worker and his deaf and mute paraplegic wife, who take her in but harbor secrets of their own.
The cast is made up of nine students, who will play a total of 21 roles.
The cast includes two students from Huntington - Lindsay Hoops-Siewert, a senior theater performance major, who will play Rachel; and Jessica Wagel, also a senior theater performance major from Huntington, who will fill two roles, as the first doctor and the sixth doctor.
Jay Duffer, assistant professor of theater, will direct.
"Reckless" will be performed in the Merillat Centre for the Arts Studio Theatre at Huntington University Feb. 28 through March 2 and March 6 through 9. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with a 2 p.m. matinee performance on March 2.
