The Huntington University women's track and field team totaled 77 points at the Fred Wilt Memorial Invitational at Anderson University on Saturday, Feb. 23, tying for third place out of 10 teams.
Krista Wood was the top-performing Forester, winning the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 11:33.97.
Three Huntington runners paired second-place finishes with personal records, as Brianna Gregory sprinted to second in the 60-meter dash in :08.28, Hannah Moore captured second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 11:33.97 and Heather Johnson earned the silver position in the pole vault with a leap of 9-08.00.
Other top six finishes included Alyssa Haselby's sixth in the 60-meter dash in :08.62, a personal record; Shana Christian's third in the 400-meter dash in 1:01.06, a personal record; Erin Rockey's third in the 1,000-meter run in 5:38.49 and Lindsey Schroeder's third in pole vault with a personal record leap of 9-08.00.
DePauw won the invitational with 94 points, Hanover was the runner-up with 80 and Huntington's 77 points tied it with Franklin.
