David E. "Skeet" Montgomery, 61, of Jonesboro, and having family members in Warren, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at the VA Medical Center, Indianapolis.
Mr. Montgomery was a driver for Harner's Service Center and was previously employed at Owens Illinois, Jakes Pure Oil and Vigoro. He was a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Navy. He attended The River Community Church and was a member of the Fairmount American Legion.
He was born Sept. 27, 1951, in Marion to Delbert and Martha Bennett Montgomery.
Survivors include three daughters, Shawna (Jose) Rodriquez, of Kenosha, WI; Amy (Brian) Justice, of Warren; and Elisa (Larry) Huston-Trexler, of Gas City; a son, Christian Huston, of Gas City; a sister, Marge (Dick) Brown; a brother, Delbert "Buzz" Montgomery; seven grandchildren, Justin, Josie, Katie, Jennifer, Aiden, Keaten and Gabi; and two great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by a companion, Teresa Clevenger, of Jonesboro.
A service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, Gas City, with Rev. Matthew Trexler officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Gas City.
