Harley Bole, 93, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 1 a.m. at Heritage Pointe, in Warren, IN.
Mr. Bole was a former resident of Hartford City and a winter resident of Homosassa, FL. He farmed in Blackford County and worked at Borg-Warner Auto, where he retired in 1982. He was a lifetime member of the Portland Engine Club and a 30-year member of the Matthews Engine Club.
He was born July 4, 1919, in Marion to Roy D. and Goldia Wickam Bole. He married Josephine Evelyn Rhinehart on Jan. 20, 1937, in Hartford City. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Donald "Don" Lavon (Sharon K.) Bole, of Hartford City; a daughter, Norma Jean (Jim) Barker, of Upland; a brother, Charles Bole, of Hartford City; five grandchildren, Garry (Lynda) Barker, Bettina Lynette (Terry) Whittington, Bradley Lavon (Tish) Bole, Kyle R. (Natalie) Ray and Neal Ray; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Calling is Friday, March 15, 2013, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Heritage Pointe, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren. A service will be held a Heritage Pointe on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Rodney Eiler will officiate. Burial will be at Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
