Cheryl S. Wilcox, 66, of Waterloo, IA, and formerly of Huntington, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Allen Memorial Hospital, in Iowa.
Mrs. Wilcox graduated in 1964 from Huntington High School. She worked at Covenant Medical Center for several years before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of Queen of Peace Church in Waterloo.
She was born July 18, 1946, in Huntington to George W. and Doris Dick Frye. Her mother, Doris Kunkel, survives in Huntington. She married Rich Droste, and they later divorced. She married Don Jenson on May 26, 1978. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2005. She married Harold Wilcox in September 2009. He survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Stewart Droste, of Waterloo, IA, and Brad (Jean) Droste, of Center Point, IA; a daughter, Missy Shelton, of Cedar Falls, IA; two stepsons, Schawn (Jessica) Wilcox and Mark Wilcox, both of Waterloo, IA; a stepdaughter, Feleana (Nick) Rooff of Waterloo, IA; three sisters, Donna (Brian) Schindler, of Fort Wayne, and Jan (Dan) Hildebrand and Joni (Scott) Ehler, both of Huntington; three brothers, Jim Frye and Jim (Karen) Wiley, both of Huntington, and Jeff Wiley, of Markle; six grandchildren, Lindsey, Cameron, Dylan, Alyson, Emily and Katie; and four stepgrandchildren, Devyn, Riley, Cole and Trevor.
A service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, IA. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery, Barclay, IA.
