The Huntington University women's track and field finished fourth out of seven teams at the Huntington University Track and Field Invitational on Saturday, April 6.
Cendall Ogle was an individual champion for the Foresters, taking first place in the 1,500-meter run in 4:58.38.
Brianna Gregory captured second in the 100-meter dash in :13.09 and in long jump with a leap of 4.72 meters.
Gretchen Spahr was also a runner-up, notching second in the 5,000-meter run in 18:34.88.
A bevy of third place finishes fed Huntington's 88-point total as Holly Lutton ran the 100-meter hurdles in :17.11, Krista Wood completed the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:05.08, Heather Johnson had a chuck of 29.96 meters in javelin and the 400-meter and 1,600-meter relay teams turned in times of :51.36 and 4:20.11, respectively.
Other Forester points came from Shana Christian's fourth places in the 200 and 400-meter dashes in :27.88 and 1:01.49, respectively, Lindsay Schroeder's fifth in pole vault at 2.74 meters, Alyssa Haselby's sixth in the 100-meter dash in 13.66, Ogle's sixth in the 800-meter run in 2:27.37, Hannah Moore's sixth in the 5,000-meter run in 19:49.16 and Ashley Williams' 12th in shot put at 9.39 meters.
Indiana Wesleyan University won the invitational with 200.5 points. Spring Arbor University was second with 165 points and Grace College was third with 91 points.
