Pearl "Maxine" Harter, 80, of Montpelier, IN, and having ties to Warren, IN, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at 11:05 p.m. at her home.
Mrs. Harter had been employed by Indiana Box Corporation, in Montpelier; Indiana Corrugated, in Warren; and Subway, in Montpelier. A former resident of Keystone, she graduated from Bluffton High School and attended the Assembly of God Church.
She was born June 23, 1932, in Wells County to Josephine Huss. She married Thomas L. Harter on May 7, 1952, in Montpelier. Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Bradley (Jody) Harter, of Keystone; four sisters, Joyce (Danny) Sills and Mona Maggart, both of Bluffton; Amber (Terry) King, of Montpelier; and Janice (Dave) Bell, of Keystone; two brothers, Arnold (Cathy) Thomas, of Geneva, and Greg (Janet) Thomas, of Petroleum; three grandchildren, Angela Clark, of Muncie; Lori Medick, of Millersburg, OH; and Bradley Smith, of North Webster; two step-grandchildren, Cassandra Chapman, of Montpelier, and Tabitha Cagle, of Gas City; and two great-grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, April 18, 213, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 19, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Ferrell Long will officiate. Interment will be at Brookside Memorial Park, Montpelier.
