The Huntington North High School boys' varsity golf team fired a 355 to finish fifth out of 16 teams at the Rochester Invitational on Saturday, April 27.
Grant Meese was the Vikings' low scorer, carding an 81 for 18 holes to tie for seventh place overall.
Zac Tackett finished two strokes behind his teammate with an 83, giving him a share of 13th.
Dakota Wibel submitted a 91, Sebastian Eckert tallied a 100 and Conner Hoke finished with a 110 to complete Huntington North's scoring.
"We just didn't have an entire team score to put together today," said Coach Scott Winter. "We had played well the previous two matches this week and we expected a lot out of everyone coming into the Rochester Invite. We had perfect weather conditions and the course was in great shape.
"We had a couple guys fight hard for decent scores but we have to get a lot more out of the three, four and five spots. If we want to contend at sectional we can't afford 90s and 100s."
Columbus North won the invitational with a score of 323. Lewis Cass was runner-up with 326, followed by Culver Military Academy with 327 and Peru with 348.
