In his role as president of the Northeast Indiana Local Economic Development Organization Council, Mark Wickersham, executive director, is participating in the Cincinnati Regional Exchange this week alongside other area leaders in business, education and community service.
Two other Huntington County representatives are accompanying Wickersham on this trip, sponsored by Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership through its Vision 2020 initiative, Leon Hurlburt, president, Huntington County Commissioners, and Darlene Stanley, owner, Johnson's Junction.
While in Cincinnati, participants will learn from the experiences and best practices of organizations in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region.
Representatives from Agenda 360, the Strive Network, Vision 2015 and other organizations will demonstrate how they are working collaboratively to make Cincinnati a better place to live, work and play.
During the trip, participants will break out into three groups around 21st Century Talent, Entrepreneurship and Quality of Life. These focused breakouts will allow for more in-depth conversations and idea exchange around the three topics.
Several Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky leaders will take part in the exchange. Speakers will include Kathy Merchant, president/CEO of The Greater Cincinnati Foundation; David Ginsburgh, president/CEO of Downtown Cincinnati, Inc.; and Rob Reifsnyder, president of the United Way of Greater Cincinnati.
