Owners Joel Froomkin and Rich Najuch have reopened ThEatery in downtown Huntington as an Italian bistro.
Chef Jim Houser says the establishment re-opened for business on May 28.
"I approached Rich and Joel about re-opening the restaurant," Houser says. "I saw how it worked with the Supper Club and was one of the people instrumental in convincing them to re-open."
He adds that Huntington lacks a classical Italian bistro and ThEatery fills that void.
"We have pastas, Italian entrees, flat breads and other great food items on our menu that have a classical Italian flavor," Houser notes.
He adds that the restaurant will have limited hours of operation throughout the Huntington Supper Club show season.
"We have one kitchen that will service both the restaurant and the Supper Club guests," Houser states. "The show season starts on the weekend of June 22."
He adds that although the goal is to extend the hours of the restaurant, right now the focus is finding a balance between servicing both the Supper Club and restaurant with quality service.
"We also have catering and carryout available," Houser notes. "We offer in-house catering in a private room next door that seats 80 people as well as off-site catering to Huntington and its surrounding areas."
He adds that the restaurant is also in the process of organizing delivery service.
"Our main goal with the re-opening is to offer Huntington something it doesn't have," Houser states. "We also aim to offer superb service and great food."
Hours of operation at ThEatery are Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch and Friday and Saturday, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for dinner.
