Colleen H. Hodge, 91, of Alexandria, IN, and a native of Warren, IN, died Monday, June 24, 2013, at Community Northview Care Center, in Anderson.
Mrs. Hodge was a member of the Alexandria Church of the Nazarene, serving as president of the Nazarene Women's Missionary Society and as vacation Bible school supervisor. She was also active in the missionary work of the Northeast Indiana District of the Church of the Nazarene. She and her husband pastored Nazarene churches in Selma, Anderson, Gaston and Muncie from 1971 until retiring from the pastoral ministry in 2008.
She was born June 19, 1922, in Warren to Earl and Erma McIntire Crispen. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Rev. Max E. Hodge, in 2010.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy (Phillip) Scott, of Indianapolis; three sons, Bob (Joyce) Hodge, of Markleville; Jim (Jeannie) Hodge, of Bossier City, LA; and Rev. Rick (Anita) Hodge, of Topeka, KS; two sisters, Doris (John) Willett, of Roanoke, and Berneice Shideler, of Warren; three brothers, Robert (Shirley) Crispen, of Warren, and Dick (Rita) Crispen and Ronald Crispen, both of Bluffton; three grandchildren, Tracy (Fred) McIlrath, of Middletown; Kimberly (Steve) Lupo, of Commack, NY; and Melissa (Andy) Fesler, of Pendleton; and six great-grandchildren.
A service was held on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at the Owens Funeral Home, Alexandria, with Rev. Rick Hodge officiating. Entombment was at the Garden Mausoleum of Park View Cemetery, in Alexandria.
