The Roanoke Chamber of Commerce will host the sixth week of the Roanoke Farmers' Market on Saturday, Aug. 17, on Main Street, in Roanoke.
The farmers' market attracts vendors and visitors from around the area and provides a family-friendly atmosphere. The market is open from 8 a.m. to noon each week.
This week, the Roanoke Tractor Pullers' Association will be onsite to showcase one of its triple engine super modified tractors. No earplugs will be needed as the tractor will not be turned on.
Members of the group will be on hand to answer any questions about the upcoming National Tractor Pullers Association-sanctioned tractor pull that will be held during the Roanoke Fall Festival.
Vendors this week include produce from the Hitzfield farm and two Amish farmers, the Roanoke Lions Club and their sausage sandwiches, Joseph Decuis with fresh baked breads and pastries, David Doud's County Line Orchard and several others.
Visit the chamber's website, www.discoverroanoke.org for details.
The Roanoke Farmer's Market is in its 12th season. It was listed by Fort Wayne Magazine as one of the "Top Fifty Must See Day Trips" in the Allen County area.
