The Huntington North High School boys' varsity soccer team gave host DeKalb an early lead which it hung on to in a 4-2 win over the Vikings on Thursday, Sept. 5.
The Vikings, 1-4-1, rallied back from a 3-0 deficit in the first half to pull within 3-2 on goals by Tyler Henline and Danny Becker, but DeKalb got an insurance goal in the second half to hang on for the win.
Viking goalie Caleb Stoffel stopped 18 shots in a busy afternoon in goal.
Junior Brennan Cochran got the first two DeKalb goals, and he had an assist on the third DeKalb score, by senior Landon Cochran. Ashtin Egly finished the scoring for the hosts, 7-1.
