The Huntington University men's golf team placed ninth out of 10 teams at the Indiana Wesleyan University Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 9-10.
The Foresters sat in last place after day one of play, but came back on Tuesday to shoot 21 strokes better than Olivet Nazarene and overtake it for ninth place.
The Foresters had a two-day total of 657, with Nazarene shooting a 672.
The host school won the invite, shooting a 602.
Devin Dale and Ryan Boester led the Foresters as each shot a 15-over-par 159, finishing in a tie for 25th place. Lance Hoch was just one stroke further back with a 160 for 29th place, followed by Derek Zurcher with a 179 for 60th place.
