"The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" opens Friday, Sept. 20, at the Pulse Opera House in downtown Warren.
The play is based on an 1885 novella by Robert Louis Stevenson, with the Pulse production based on a version written by Eberle Thomas and Barbara Redmond in 1990.
The story is told through a series of flashbacks during a coroner's inquest as Newcomen, an inspector from Scotland Yard, leads the audience through the grim task of finding a murderer.
Due to the content of the show, the Pulse says it is not recommended for children 12 and younger.
Performances are Friday and Saturday, Sept. 20 and 21; Sept. 26, 27 and 28; and Oct. 3, 4 and 5. All shows start at 8 p.m.. Lobby doors open at 7 p.m., and theater doors open at 7:30 p.m.
