It was another match where the Huntington University men's soccer team got down early and wasn't able to recover as it was blanked by host Siena Heights University, 2-0, on Saturday, Sept. 14.
It's the Foresters' second consecutive loss as they drop to 4-3.
The Saints wasted no time getting on the board, scoring on their second shot of the night at the 14:59 mark. Fifteen minutes later they struck again for what turned out to be the game's final goal and they rode it out for the win.
After only generating four shots through the first 45 minutes, the Foresters regrouped at halftime to outshoot Siena Heights 9-6 in the final period. While Huntington generated several quality opportunities, they were never able to find the back of the net, finishing with 13 shots, six on frame, to Siena Heights' 15.
Goalkeeper Drew Mattingly finished with six saves in the losing effort.
