The Huntington North High School boys' junior varsity cross country team finished seventh out of eight teams at the North Central Reserve Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 12.
Junior Dustin Campbell led the Vikings with a sixth place finish in 17:57.25.
After Campbell, freshman Garret Smith captured 26th in 18:21.85, senior Collin Wesco took 36th in 18:39.53, junior Matt Hunt claimed 52nd in 19:32.41 and senior Jordan Utter landed in 54th in 19:53.99 to round out the team's scoring.
Lawrence North won the invitational with a score of 40, paced by individual champion Wyatt Spencer, who clocked in at 17:25.05. Westfield was runner up with 42 points, followed by Franklin Central's 64, Noblesville's 140, North Central's 148, Zionsville's 153, Huntington North's 174 and Lawrence Central's 198.
Junior Logan Boyer placed 55th in 20:26.50, freshman Alex Wiedenhoft finished 56th in 21:19.56 and sophomore Adam Carey was 127th overall in 21:42.16 to complete the HNHS team.
