Florence L. "Flo" Johnson, 84, of Churubusco, and having family members in Huntington, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at 12:57 a.m. at her home.
Mrs. Johnson, a Churubusco resident since 1998, was a member of the Churubusco United Methodist Church and a volunteer with the church's food ministry. She had worked as a cook at the Byron Health Center, in Fort Wayne, for 13 years and had also worked as a filing clerk at Johnson Medical Center, in Churubusco.
She was born Oct. 5, 1929, in Fort Wayne to Carl and Evelyn McClain Kramer. She married Carlton F. Johnson on Sept. 1, 1951, in Chicago. Her husband preceded her in death on Dec. 17 1984.
Survivors include two sons, Carl "Tyke" (Carolyn) Johnson, of Fort Wayne, and Dr. David A. (Jackie) Johnson, of Churubusco; three daughters, Cathy (Dennis) Barnes and Lori (Scott) Henning, both of Churubusco, and Sue (Joseph) Williams, of Huntington; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco. A service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at 2 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at the Churubusco United Methodist Church, with Rev. Corinne Boruff-Stucker officiating. Interment will be at the Riverview Cemetery, near Churubusco.
