Michael Forest "Mokey" Johnson, 66, of Warren, IN, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at 7:20 a.m.
Mr. Johnson was employed in the stockroom of Thomson Consumer Electronics for 38 years and was a member of the RCA/Thomson Sympathy Club. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam and working on Huey helicopters. He was a member of the Greater St. Mark Church of God, in Anderson, and led Bible study groups in Warren.
He was born Jan. 6, 1947, in Anderson to Leonard and Dorothy Jean Hayden Cowles. He married Deborah Leach on Nov. 12, 2003, and she survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Eric M. (Susan) Johnson, of North Manchester, and Troy L. (Beth) Johnson, of Bluffton; two daughters, Nicci (Gus) Rosen, of Huntington, and Tabi (Brett) Suman, of Bluffton; a brother, Jeff Cowles, of Swayzee; a sister, Cindy (Ted) Ricketts, of Summittville; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ed and Mary Leach, of Alexandria; a brother-in-law, Ken (Martha) Leach, of Alexandria; and 10 grandchildren, Noah M. Johnson, Corbin E. Johnson, Avery J. Johnson, Heath G. Johnson, Hunter H. Johnson, Darius Z. Vogleman, Damek X. Vogleman, Bailey L. Suman, Jayden M. Suman and Macenzie N. Suman.
Calling is Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. A service will be held at teh funeral home on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at 11 a.m.,
with Rev. Samuel King officiating. Burial will be at the Marion National Cemetery.
