The Huntington University women's cross country team wrapped up its season with a third place finish at the Crossroads League Championships hosted by Grace College on Saturday, Nov. 9.
It was a solid outing for the Foresters as three runners earned all-conference honors by finishing in the top 15. Gretchen Spahr paced Huntington to earn her third league accolade. The junior finished seventh in 19:01.
Crossing the line next for the Foresters was Krista Wood in 19:17, good for 13th. Cendall Ogle was Coach Tom King's other All-Conference finisher. She turned in a 14th place finish in 19:18 to earn her four consecutive league honor in cross country.
Rounding out Huntington's scoring was Erin Rockey and Natalie Spahr. Rockey posted a 29:46 to earn 20th, and Spahr came in at 20:02 to claim 26th.
Other finishers for Huntington included Hannah Moore, 28th in 20:04, and Christine Sparks, 30th in 20:24.
Huntington wraps up the season ranked 29th in the final poll.
Taylor's top five runners all finished in the top 10 to run away with the conference championship title and earn a trip to Nationals with 26 points followed by Indiana Wesleyan, 59; Huntington, 80; Marian, 119; Spring Arbor, 130; Mount Vernon, 169; Goshen, 183; Grace, 209; and Bethel, 250.
