Zane Cozad and Walter Hacker each won two individual events and participated on two winning relays teams to lead the Huntington North High School boys' swim team past host Manchester 95-64, on Thursday, Jan. 30.
Cozad, a sophomore, won the 200-yard freestyle, in 2:07.29, and the 200-yard individual medley, in 2:24.96, while Hacker, a junior, took the 50-yard freestyle, in :24.74, and the 500-yard freestyle, in 5:47.04. The pair also teamed with Cody Barton and Josh Young to win the 200-yard medley relay, in 1:53.70, and went together with Young and Gunnar Wibel to take the 400-yard freestyle relay, in 4:00.66.
Young also got a solo win, taking the 100-yard butterfly in 1:04.32.
Nathan Lundy got the remaining solo win for HNHS, doing so in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:10.24, and he teamed with Nathan Park, Jacob Koons and Wibel to win the 200-yard freestyle relay, in 1:53.18.
In all, HNHS won nine of the 11 events.
The Vikings took both second and third places in the two events they didn't win. Cody Barton and Koons did the 2-3 thing, respectively, in the 100-yard freestyle, and Barton and Young finished second and third, respectively, in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Lundy added a third place finish in the 200 free.
