Nancy Goken, 88, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Mrs. Goken was a homemaker. She had volunteered at Huntington Memorial Hospital and had served on the Huntington Plan Commission.
She was born March 22, 1925, in Decatur, IL, to Carl and Mattie Harrison Marohl. She married Laurence Goken on April 5, 1942, in Baltimore, MD. He preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 2000.
Survivors include a son, Larry (Kelly) Goken, of Huntington; a daughter, Judy (David) Barker, of Gilbert, AZ; a sister, Carol (Wayne) Black, of Pahrump, NV; five grandchildren, David Barker, of Cave Creek, AZ; Sean (Krista) Barker, of Frisco, TX; and Casey (Erik) Price, Chelsie (Tyler) Abbott and Ashley (Sam) Kaufman, all of Huntington; and six great-grandchildren.
Calling is Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a service following at 3:30 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, Rev. Bill Rapp will officiate. Interment will be on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery, in Decatur, IL.
