Peter Lloyd Renz, 69, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at 9:30 p.m. at his home.
Mr. Renz graduated from Northfield High School in 1963. He served in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Hood, TX, as a military mechanic from 1965 to 1967. He had worked at General Tire, in Wabash; at the North Manchester Foundry; and as an over-the-road trucker for LTI Trucking, in Laketon; TMC Trucking, in Des Moines, IA; WEBO Express, in Laketon; and DRP Trucking. He retired in 2007.
He was born Feb. 24, 1945, in Huntington to Leroy and Dorothy Garretson Renz. He married Karen Mersiovsky on Feb. 6, 1969, in Texas. He married Judy Clark on July 13, 1985, in North Manchester. Both marriages ended in divorce.
Survivors include a son, Mark (Allison) Renz, of Huntington; two daughters, Cheryl Renz Myers, of Logansport, and Teri (Rob) White, of Rochester; a sister, Rosalie Renz Kane, of South Dakota; a sister-in-law, Sandy Renz; seven grandchildren, Ashley Renz, Shawn Renz, Alyssa Renz, Amber Casper, Brittany (Matthew) Harris, Mac (Corie) Pemberton and Jessica Householder; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, March 6, 2014, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind.-114 West, North Manchester. A service will be held at the mortuary on Friday, March 7, 2014, at 11 a.m., with his daughter, Rev. Teri White, officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery, Bippus.
