Francis W. Leist, 93, of Roanoke, IN, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Leist graduated from Bluffton High School and served in the United Sates Air Force during World War II. He worked as a foreman at Kresge for more than 30 years.
He was born July 28, 1920, in Wells County to John and Mary Vancamp Leist. He married Esther A. Snider on June 28, 1943. She preceded him in death on July 13, 1993.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Leist, of Roanoke, and Betty Jackson, of Bloomington; and a son, Robert Leist, of Zanesville.
A service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 2 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, 3220 E. Ind.-124, Bluffton. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Bluffton, with military rites by the United States Air Force Honor Guard in conjunction with American legion Post 111, of Bluffton.
