Santa Claus will bring his magic, and his list, to Warren on Friday evening, Nov. 23.

The man in red, escorted by the Warren Fire Department, is scheduled to arrive at the corner of Wayne and Second streets in downtown Warren at 6 p.m.

Following a meet-and-greet session, he'll oversee the lighting of the downtown area for the holiday season.

To complete the transformation of the downtown area, he'll use Christmas magic to light the town tree. The tree's lights are complemented by bows purchased in memory of loved ones.

Beginning about 6:30 p.m., Santa will lead the crowd in a parade to the Knight-Bergman Center, where he'll officiate at the lighting of the grounds and building.
Once all the lights are shining, Santa will retire inside the Knight-Bergman Center auditorium to hear the wishes of his young friends. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served.

Children will have another chance to talk with Santa Claus at the Knight-Bergman Center on Saturday, Nov. 24, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Each child will receive a small gift, and the youngsters and their families will be treated to cookies, hot chocolate and coffee. Santa's elves will help keep the children entertained throughout their visits.
