Christmas lights back at Sunken Gardens after three-year absence
Wednesday, November 21, 2012 7:48 AM
Christmas lights are returning to Huntington's Sunken Gardens this year after a three-year absence.
The holiday displays in Sunken Gardens and the adjoining Shakespeare Gardens, both along West Park Drive in Memorial Park, will be turned on for the first time this season on Sunday, Nov. 25, at 6 p.m.
The lighting ceremony will take place on the bridge, with hot cider and candy canes available to spectators.
The displays will be lighted every night from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. through Jan. 1. The displays will be removed on Jan. 2.
A drive-through display that had been staged toward the rear of Memorial Park for the past several years will not be offered this year, although it may return next year.
