The holiday season arrives in Warren this Friday, Nov. 21, with the annual Holiday Walk and Festival of Trees.

Visitors are invited to stroll downtown Warren, sampling holiday goodies, including hot drinks, offered by area businesses and organizations. They can also vote for their favorite decorated tree, with votes accepted at the site of the tree or in the Town Annex.

Activities will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A map showing the location of all trees and listing times and locations of all activities will be available at the Town Annex, located at 131 N. Wayne St., in Warren.

The Festival of Trees will include a “canned food” tree created by the dental team of Dr. Robert Berghoff. The tree will be on display in the window of D&D Bike Shop a 231 N. Wayne St., in Warren, throughout the Christmas season. All food used to make the tree will be donated to the Bread of Life Food Pantry, in Warren.

During the evening, children can decorate cookies at the Warren United Church of Christ, craft a Christmas ornament and make reindeer food at PNC Bank and visit miniature animals at a petting zoo.

Live llamas will visit the Warren Public Library at 5:15 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Their visit will be accompanied by a special story.

Horse-drawn wagon rides will be offered throughout the evening.

Gebhart’s Floral Barn will host a pottery demonstration.

The opening performance of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” will take place at 8 p.m. at the Pulse Opera House.
