‘Christmas at the Forks’ planned

The Historic Forks of the Wabash Museum and Educational Park will hold its annual “Christmas at the Forks” event on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 11 a.m. to  4 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 6, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, the annual Breakfast with Santa will not be held this year. The banquet room will be filled with decorated trees and wreaths from local organizations, businesses and individuals. Masks are requested.

There is no admission charge for this event, but if those attending wish to vote on their favorite tree(s) and wreath(s), tickets will be available for purchase for voting.

Those purchasing tickets will then place their names and phone numbers on the back of the ticket, place their ticket(s) in voting boxes at each tree and wreath location.
 

On Sunday, a ticket for each tree and wreath will be drawn. Those whose tickets are drawn will win the tree and its decorations or the decorated wreath. Winners will be notified and given information as to how to pick up their prize.

Winning organizations, businesses and individuals will receive ribbons and certificates in recognition of their work.

The Historic Forks of the Wabash exists to compliment the Indiana and Miami Native American History curriculum in Indiana Schools. It is the goal of the Historic Forks of the Wabash to make its educational park a wonderful place to learn and enjoy the walking trails and picnic area.
