Christmas in the Village is coming soon

Downtown Roanoke will come alive on Friday, Dec. 3, and Saturday, Dec. 4, for their Christmas in the Village celebration.

On Friday, participants are encouraged to be downtown from 5 to 8 p.m. to shop at local stores.

A lighted parade bringing Santa into town will take place at 7 p.m. The parade will begin near Third and Main streets and end at First and Main streets.

After the parade, families may go to the Parker Grace Tea Room and A Spoonful of Sugar, 138 First St., Roanoke, to visit Mr. and Mrs. Claus, enjoy cookies on the lawn, join in for a Christmas sing-along with Santa and more.

On Saturday, interested parties may shop and dine at the local businesses from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kids will also be able to do an Ornament Make and Take at Moose & Mollie's 171 E. Second St., Roanoke, from 1 to 4 p.m. that day.
