PHH, Christian Life take top two theme honors in HD parade

Parkview Huntington Hospital won the award for best theme float in the 2012 Heritage Days parade.
Christian Life Tabernacle had the second place theme float.

Both awards were sponsored by Matthew F. Capozza.
The parade was held on Saturday, June 23.

Winners in other categories were:

Best marching band - Mizpah Bagpipes, first; Mizpah Shrine band, second. Both awards were sponsored by Z-Place Pizza.

Best marching color guard - Eagles flag team, first; and Huntington County Cub and Boy Scouts, second. Both awards were sponsored by Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar.

Best youth group - Huntington North High School dance team, first; Pathfinder Kids Kampus and AmRamp, second.
Both awards were sponsored by the Huntington County TAB.

Best adult group- First Federal Savings Bank, first; Beacon Credit Union, second. Both awards were sponsored by Bowers Jewelers.

Best performing unit - Huntington North cheerleaders. The award was sponsored by Country Post Inn.

Best motorized unit - Mizpah Racing Shriners, first; MarkleBank, second. The awards were sponsored by Huggy Bear, Huntington.

Best antique vehicle - Mizpah Shrine Antique Power Club, first; Bradley Floor Covering, second. The awards were sponsored by Zay Leasing & Rental.

Best religious unit - Central Christian Church, first; The Awakening Community Church, second. The awards were sponsored by Edward Jones-Chuck Harris.

Best horse unit - Chief LaFontaine Saddle Club, first; Indiana Mounted Regulators, second. The awards were sponsored by Myers Funeral Homes.
