Monday, June 17, 2013 7:21 AM
Ten area food vendors will serve samples of their specialties during this year's JeFFFest celebration on Sunday, June 23.
Diners will be able to purchase food tickets at two intersections - Jefferson and Washington streets, and Jefferson and Market streets - and exchange the tickets for food and drinks. Tables and chairs will be available, although guests are encouraged to bring their own seating.
Participating food vendors, and their menus for the evening, are:
Rusty Dog Irish Pub - crab and shrimp pasta salad, bangers and mash, real bacon coleslaw and flourless chocolate cake.
Vinatelli's Italian Cafe - pizza, Italian wrap, Vinatelli's salad and cannoli.
JD's - chicken salad croissant, ham salad croissant, potato salad and macaroni salad.
Party Shop - milk chocolate turtles.
Hoosier Drive-In - mini tenderloins and coleslaw.
Kim's Katered Affair - cupcakes and cream-filled cupcakes.
Brick House Grill - crab cakes, stuffed mushrooms and strawberry shortcake.
ThEatery Italian Bistro - Caprese salad and fried ravioli with Alfredo sauce.
Wings, Etc. - bone-in wings with assorted sauces, buffalo chicken dip and Andes chocolate mint cream pie.
Moose & Mollie's - gelato.
In addition, the La Fontaine Arts Council will offer water and soft drinks.
JeFFFest will take place from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Jefferson Street, in downtown Huntington. The evening will include music by Eric Clancy Jazz and Lime City Jazz. Works by three local artists will be sold at a live auction, and smaller pieces by artists of all ages will be offered in a silent auction.
The event is sponsored by the LaFontaine Arts Council and Four Corners Custom Framing. All proceeds from JeFFFest go toward the LAC's Arts in Education programming.
