Guests on the Huntington County Historical Museum's Heritage Days bus tour will explore the east side of Huntington.
That area is bounded by State Street on the south, Broadway on the east, Bus.-24 on the north and the Erie Railroad bed on the west.
Tour guides will discuss the many industries, theater, schools and Lake Clare stone quarry that have been located in that area of the city.
Specific sites include Locke Steel Chain, the old Broadway School site, State Street school, Majestic Company, Pulley Kellam, Orton-McCullough, Lake Clare, Wabash Magnetics, Huntington Twin Drive-In, Lincoln School, Our Sunday Visitor and Caswell Runyan.
Guides will also touch on life in the area in the early 20th Century.
The hour-long tours will be offered on Saturday, June 22, departing from the museum at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Tickets may be purchased in advance at the museum, located at 315 Court St. Museum hours are Wednesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
