Homier Family wins best theme float honors at Heritage Days Parade

The Homier Family won best theme float honors at the 2019 Huntington Heritage Days Parade on Saturday, June 22.

The Homier float entitled “Magical Day of Celebration” best captured the spirit of the theme “The ‘60s: ‘Yesterday,’" as voted on by the judges.

The Huntington County Humane Society won for best adult group and the Tin Can Tourist RV Club was named winner of best antique vehicle.

The Fort Wayne Corvette Club took honors for Best classic vehicle and best religious unitl was won by Christian Life Tabernacle.

The Girl Scouts of Huntington County and Wabash County were voted best youth group.

Country Post Inn, Inc. was the sponsor for the best theme float award. Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar was the sponsor of the best adult group award and Myers Funeral Home sponsored the award for best antique vehicle.

The best classic vehicle award was sponsored by the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce. First Federal Savings Bank sponsored the best religious unit honor and the Huntington County TAB sponsored the best youth group award.
