Lori Satchwill, a member of the Forks of the Wabash Pioneer Festival steering committee for 25 years, was presented with the festival’s Arrowhead Award on Sunday, Sept. 23. The award is given annually to someone who has made a major contribution to the success of the festival. Satchwill (center), holding her granddaughter, Ayvah Jones, received the award from festival co-chairs Rachelle Nightenhelser (left) and Bonita Price (right). Satchwill joined the festival steering committee in 1993 and served as parking chair and chair of the Younguns’ Fun area for a year each before accepting the responsibility of festival treasurer, a year-round volunteer position she has held since 1995.
