Seminary United Methodist to host car show at festival

Seminary United Methodist Church will host a car show on Saturday, Sept. 8, as part of the Roanoke Fall Festival.

Organizers say the show is open to all "interesting" cars - American or foreign, old or new, restored or in process.

Registration begins at 11 a.m. and is open all day. There is no charge, but donations will be accepted for the church's youth ministries. Dash plaques will be presented to all entries. A people's choice trophy will be awarded at 5 p.m.

Participants in the car show may drive their cars in the Fall Festival parade, but are not required to do so. Those participating in the parade are asked to bring candy and meet at the church at 2 p.m.

The church will offer free ice cream after the parade.

Seminary United Methodist Church is located at 285 N. Seminary St., Roanoke.
