Trinity United Methodist Church, located at 530 Guilford St. in Huntington, is again providing a free Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.
This is the 26th year Trinity has sponsored this community dinner, which is open to the public and free of charge.
Shut-ins who would like meals delivered within Huntington County or those who usually receive meal deliveries are asked to call the church office, 356-0961, during the morning to order a delivery.
To have meals delivered, residents must provide name, address, phone number and number of meals to be delivered.
The church office will be closed on Nov. 22 and Nov. 23.
Carryout dinners will also be available for those who wish to take meals home on Thursday. The church is planning to prepare more than 500 meals this year and more than half of those will be deliveries or carryout.
Volunteers are needed to help at the church kitchen on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings Nov. 21, 22 and 23.
Volunteers are welcome on Thanksgiving Day by 10 a.m. to help with serving, meal deliveries and cleanup
