Tackett's low score not enough as Viking golfers fall to CC, Warsaw

E.J. Tackett tied for low score of the day but it wasn't enough for the Huntington North High School boys' golf team as it lost to both Warsaw and host Columbia City on Friday, May 29.

The Vikings, 6-3, finished with a 169 total, while Columbia City won the match with a 155 and Warsaw recorded a 169.

Tackett fired a one over par 37 to match Columbia City's David Mills for low score on the day, but the sophomore's effort couldn't help HNHS overcome Columbia City having three scorers under 40.

Garrett Bracht was back-up to Tackett with a 40. Neal Hamilton and Jordan Sweet each fired rounds of 46, and Brandon Whitesell was non-scorer with a 48.
