The Huntington Police Athletic League has announced results for play the week ending May 26.
Coaches Pitch
First Federal vanquished Zahm Excavating and Dirt Excavating by scores of 28-6 and 25-4, respectively. Zahm Excavating was also on the losing end to Craig Martz, 19-9, and Dirt Excavating was on the losing end to Brick House Grill, 17-3.
Bailey Love triumphed over EcoWater, 18-11, and Farm Bureau in a squeaker, 23-22. Bippus State Bank lost a close one to Craig Martz, 7-6, but routed Brick House Grill, 13-5. Kiwanis bested Erie Haven by scores of 11-6 and 8-7. Frederick's snuck by EcoWater, 10-8, but not Farm Bureau, falling 19-18.
As of May 26, First Federal was in first place with a perfect 7-0 record. Craig Martz was in second with six wins and one loss. Bippus Bank, Farm Bureau and Kiwanis were all tied for third at 5-2. Frederick's was in fourth with four wins and three losses. Eco Water was in fifth at 3-4 and Bailey Love was in sixth at 2-5. In seventh was Zahm Excavating at 1-4, just ahead of 1-5 Brick House Grille in eighth. Dirt Excavating and Erie Excavating were tied for last, at 0-7 and 0-6, respectively.
Little League
Huntington County Federal Credit Union continued its winning ways, beating OnlyInternet by scores of 14-2 and 22-0. Star Insurance won big over FOP Lodge 77, 12-1. McElhaney Hart blanked Optimist, 6-0. Optimist came closer against FOP Lodge 77, but fell 7-5. Star Insurance outpaced McElhaney Hart, 22-6.
As of May 26, HCFCU was in first place with an undefeated 8-0 record. Star Insurance was close behind in second at 7-1. McElhaney-Hart was in third at an even 4-4. Optimist was in fifth with three wins and five losses. FOP Lodge 77 and Only Internet were tied for last with one win and seven losses apiece.
