The Huntington Police Athletic League has announced results for play the week ending June 16.
Coaches Pitch
Bippus Bank defeated Frederick's, 20-7. Craig Martz beat Dirt Excavating, 22-4. Zahm Excavating fell to both Farm Bureau, 22-2, and First Federal, 23-2. Bippus Bank was victorious over Dirt Excavating, 22-12, and won by an even wider margin over Erie Haven, 23-2. Kiwanis defeated Frederick's, 10-4, and snuck by Bailey Love, 12-10. Brick House was defeated by Craig Martz, 19-5, and Farm Bureau, 9-4. Bailey Love won a shootout with Eco Water, 15-12. First Federal put up a big number on Erie Haven, winning 26-1.
As of June 16, First Federal's perfect season was still alive at 13-0. Bippus Bank was not too far behind, at 12-2, good for second. Farm Bureau was in third, at 10-3. Craig Martz and Kiwanis each had nine wins, but the former was in fourth place at 9-3 and the latter in fifth place at 9-5. Frederick's was in sixth with six wins and six losses. Bailey Love was in seventh, at 5-8. Eco Water was eighth, at 3-9, just ahead of Erie Haven (3-10) and Brick House (3-10), tied for ninth. Bringing up the rear was Zahm Excavating, in tenth at 2-8, and Dirt Excavating, in eleventh at 1-11.
Little League
Huntington County Federal Credit Union (HCFCU) won by comfortable margins over Optimist, 14-4, and Only Internet, 17-10. FOP Lodge 77 defeated McElhaney Hart, 11-4, but fell to Optimist, 12-2. Star Insurance had big wins over Only Internet, 22-5, and McElhaney-Hart, 24-1.
As of June 16, HCFCU was in first place at 12-1. Star Insurance was in second, close behind at 11-2. Optimist was in third, at 7-6. McElhaney Hart was in fourth, at 5-8. FOP Lodge 77 was in fifth with three wins and ten losses. Only Internet was in last, at 1-12.
